Zara Muhammad was elected the first female leader of the Muslim Council of Britain

According to the details, Zara Muhammad has been elected as the new Secretary General after getting the highest number of votes in the pool of groups affiliated with the largest Muslim Umbrella Organization in the UK.

After the election, Zara Mohammad said that she was proud to be appointed to this post of a major Muslim organization. She will be the successor of Haroon Khan who has completed a maximum term of four years as the head of MCB.

Zara Mohammed, a 29-year-old woman from Glasgow, added that she hopes to motivate and inspire women and young people to take on more leadership roles.
