The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has banned two of Pakistani most watched and liked drama serials “Ishqiya” and “Pyar Ke Sadqe” for promoting negative content against social and religious values.

The two drama shows were aired successfully on ARY Digital and Hum Tv.

On the other hand, PEMRA has strictly deemed that the shows’ repeat telecast will also be not allowed for repeat telecast on the respective parent channels.

The decision of banning these drama serials was taken after the viewers filed complaints against the shows through the Pakistan Citizen portal and social media accounts. According to the details, PERMA has ordered all Pakistani TV channels, media houses, and production houses to review the dramas’ content.
